But I think the two methods are valid, it depends of the purpose... On
a stand alone application, where you don't need to ensure the user is
using the latest version of your software, it's better to use what I
said... But in a application that comunicates with other things, this
is very important to avoid creating a lot of dependencies like "if
version <= x then something; else blablabla" :)
