I'm working on a project which requires me to read new mail from the inbox of an account on an MS Exchange server and save the attachments as TIFF images.
I need to be able to accept attachments in JPEG and bitmap formats and the body text fo the message as well. All need to be converted to TIFF for our internal imaging system. We use ImageLib with Delphi5 for the current system, but this application will be done in Delphi 2005 - Win32 and the director doesn't want to upgrade the ImageLib. His suggestion was to call a command-line utility to do the conversions. I feel there would be much more flexibility using a delphi library. If I can find a lib & he still wants the command-line util, I'll write one using the lib. I thought I would throw out the question & see if any of you have experience doing this and might be able to steer me around a few pot-holes. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Roger C.
