Well if the data is tabular/dataset based you might use Mike Shkolnik's 
suite: http://www.scalabium.com/sme/  (but I suspect you already know of 
this :-)   )

As for the actual formats, MS is very reluctant to let them out...

but perhaps there's a useful alternative there for you nonetheless:

The most promising IMHO seems to be that of generating XML Excel files.
