This works for a character in the standard ASCII range, e.g. Char(66) gives a letter B. However, trying this with Unicode numbers for characters outside the ASCII range does not work. Copying and pasting Unicode text into a RichEdit works, but as I said, this has various disadvantages. I have a feeling that I once read how to get a TRichEdit component to accept Unicode characters, but I haven't a clue where I read it. Michael Davis ------------------------ Yahoo!
