Who let the spammers onto the list? From personal experience (I
moderate a 6000+ person mailing list), these people have no regard for
the number of people who aren't interested and no one has ever been
hired from these e-mails. If a company is interested in hiring from my
subscribers, they have to come forward directly and ask me or they get
permanently banned. That threat alone reduced the spam level to almost
zero and there have only been two legitimate job requests in six months
(one was from Pixar Animation but they decided not to post the job after
I informed their HR representative of the demographics of the list).
