Srikanth, Projects on which I've worked have had success using both DOA components and Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) from CoreLab [http://www.crlab.com/]. A major reason ODAC was chaosen for one project was the ease of converting existing BDE components to ODAC.
Other choices to consider are ADO and ODBC, but my experience is that a dedicated component such as ODAC or DOA is optimized for speed and utilizes many advanced Oracle features not available through generic interfaces.
