No Eclipse is not just Java (though that's one of it's main languages). For example, I'm currently learning Ruby and using Eclipse as the Dev environment, using the Eclipse RDT plugin. I also use it for the occassional spot of Java. There's also plugin's/support for e.g. C++ etc.
