A bit off-topic...

It depends on your video driver how your settings could be adjusted: They 
provide some advanced settings. Also the monitor handware have somesettings you 
could adjust.. like the monitor temperature etc

If you do not have a photometer you could for example use the adobe gamma 
control panel setup tool to create a monitor ICC profile.
