Rob,
We are just scoping up what will prove to be quite a complex
application. We tend to use a lot of third party libaries infowpower,
wptools ,dbisma etc etc
The thought of managing the versioning of all those packages when it
could be potentially on 100 + client pcs is a bit scary.
The application it self is modularised where the client can 'buy into'
particular modules. It makes sense to break it up. Whilst having used
dlls in the past the limitation of not being able to object , long
strings etc keeping transation context for database updates is limiting.
