You compile your superclass to a dcu. The dcu is part of the package.
The package is part of the application. It is exactly possible. Make sure your application is USING RUNTIME PACKAGES. Then it may use the superclass package. Any other packages may also use it. Unless you have a good reason for using packages, avoid them. They will lengthen your debugging and deployment issues.
