What makes you think "auto arrange" will restore the layout to what it was before you ruined it? If the icons are automatically arranged, then there's nothing you have to do. They're already arranged whenever the desktop dimensions change. If they were not automatically arranged, then you must assume that the user has them arranged a specific way already. Don't mess with it. Why do you need to change the screen resolution, anyway? -- Rob
