I use D7 on 64 Bit Vista. I use "ForceDirectories()" and "ExtractFilePath(Application.ExeName);" all the time with no problem.
Try Butting them inside a Try / Except block and see what happens. Also, make sure you have rights to add a directory. (Note: I have been running with "User Account Controls" turned off for quite a while with no viruses - but I don't use IEeeeee and OutLeach) Doug On 8/18/2010 4:45 PM, Perry Kappetein wrote: > After playing aroung it seems Vista is crashing on > > ForceDirectories and AppPath := ExtractFilePath(Application.ExeName); > > Appath stays empty. > and this is only on Vista 64 > > any clue? > > > _____ > > From: delphi-en@yahoogroups.com [mailto:delphi...@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf > Of pkappet...@charter.net > Sent: Wednesday, August 18, 2010 8:41 AM > To: delphi-en@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [delphi-en] program not running on Vista 64 > > > > > > I am running into the following problem. > > I compiled a program (and even a simple test program) > in Delphi and tried to run it on Vista 64 and it just crashes > instantly. and no info given. > I can run it fine on Windows xp, 2000, vista 32, Win 7 32 and 64. > > Did someone else had this same type of problem, and was able to fix > this? > > Thank you > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > > ------------------------------------ > > ----------------------------------------------------- > Home page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/delphi-en/ > To unsubscribe: delphi-en-unsubscr...@yahoogroups.comyahoo!
