Try showmessage(IntToHex(ColorToRGB(clBtnFace), 6));
So, (IntToHex(ColorToRGB(clRed), 6)); will give you 0000FF.
Each 2 hex digits is the value of Red, Green or Blue. (In BGR order I think)

Please can someone tell me how I get the RGB colour numbers from clBtnFace.
GetBValue, getRValue, getGValue give silly numbers (Delphi 5 and XP).
