Borland has NEVER been a company that has had a great marketing sense. In fact, their marketing department has been and will continue to be their downfall, in my opinion.
I believe Delphi is doomed to be a legacy language, but to Borland's credit we aren't suffering the fate of VB programmers. After reading several articles in eWeek, Borland has definitely done some things very right and not abandoning their programmers is certainly one of them.
