I remember that problem quite well and that I installed an IDE add-on which allowed you to run your app from a button on the IDE toolbar but without actually running thru it. Before that I would simply create a shortcut to my projects and start them from there when I needed to test. As far as I know there was never a remedy offered, but the problem went away in the next version.
