Richard,

I have had a similar experience of not being able to write to the canvas
when the Temp folder in Windows was full or there was not enough disk space
on the primary drive. Check the contents of the C:\Temp or C:\Windows\Temp
or C:\WINNT\Temp folder and make sure your primary drive has enough space. A
long shot, but certainly one that caused me problems on older machines with
smaller disks as the disks became clogged over time.

For anyone using Crystal Reports, watch for this one too. I have experienced
two customer sites where the Temp folder got clogged with more than 65,000
files, but Crystal reported that we were out of concurrent licences.

Regards,
Darren

Subject: Quick reports

Hi all

I have a new WinXP workgroup running a Delphi app with Quick reports doing
the display.
The report gives an error on first page "Access violation ..."; then it says
it cannot write to canvas output. When you try to go to the next page it
says "Cannot write Meta file".
It never goes to the suceeding pages.

I know WinXP really tightened down its security, but this is just a little 3
computer workgroup network with no internet access.
Everything is open and shared.
Where does QR want to write its temp files?

TIA
