I cannot remember that update (1997 is a long time ago), but on my disk,
I still have a copy of the command-line compiler as well as the .dcu
files in the LIB directory (for the purpose of recompiling in Delphi 3).
The command-line compiler is dated 1997/08/05 (YYYY/MM/DD), and most of
the DCU files are from that same date, with the exception of 9, which
are dated 1997/10/23:
COMCTRLS.dcu, COMOBJ.dcu, CONTROLS.dcu, DBCLIENT.dcu, DBTABLES.dcu,
MAPI.dcu, MIDASCON.dcu, OLECTRLS.dcu and SYSTEM.dcu
I therefore believe that the update included those 9 files (and perhaps
something more, but no update to the compiler - although the IDE might
have been affected as well, but I don't have the IDE around anymore -
not as an installed file anyway ;-)
Assuming you have Delphi 3 *without* that update, I can send you the
updated 9 files, if you wish (not sure if it's allowed license wise, but
they are only .dcu files that can be used by the right compiler anyway)
