Robert,

The data comes from a THttpCli component as XML about every two minutes.
The XML is transformed to a dataset and the data then put into the first
ClientDataSet. After it is processed and the unwanted data removed, then
the second clientdataSet controls are disabled, the remaining data from
the first ClientDataSet is added to the second ClientDataSet, and the
controls reenabled.

For now, I am just doing an append, and then looping through the fields
and editing them to put the correct values in. But that seems quite
inelegant. If there is a way to get the TVarRec for each record from the
first ClientDataSet then that would be preferred. Both methods will
adjust to changes in the fields, but using the TVarRec seems to be the
most elegant way to do it.

Sincerely,

Brad Gies
