Or in the same library, the DateStringToDMY function will provide the TDateTime(after translation from STDate) from a given datestring using a 'picture' of the datestring format (e.g. 'mm,dd,yyyy'). In either case, you will need to translate back and forth between TDateTime and STDate types, but the functions for these operations are also in SysUtils.
