I too have had a lot of problems lately with viruses, spyware, etc.
I know how frustrating it can be. Norton used to be a great program but
over the last couple of years I just kept having bad luck with it. I bought
PCShield along with their Firewall and it was working great except that
sometimes it would start automatically at boot, but I haven't put it on this
system yet as it cam with 15months of free McFee, so I thought I'd try it
out. So far it's been okay, but the anti-spam portion of it isn't very good
in my estimation.

Subject: RE: Using Google Desktop to index my Delphi documentation
I wanted to index the whole content of my files (exactly like Google.com).
There was a plugin for Google Desktop to search and index C and PAS files in
a special way.
I hoped it will be more easy to search my files in this way.
Sorry for the language.
I was so mad that such a big company can produce such A LAME software.
I had a small virus (NAV was unable to detect it) yesterday that used a
rootkit to hide itself.
Nothing serious. I spent 10-15 minutes to remove that malware using
FilemonNT, a firewall, a
registry monitor, the RootKit revealer and a DOS (cmd) box.
Also yesterday I had that problem with Google Desktop and I spend hours to
repair the main
problems and I still have some.
I've tried in lots of ways to repair all damages but because the lack
documentation (thanks Google
again) it was impossible.
Sorry again.

Anyway remember my warnings: it is much better to bring a virus in your
computer than Google
Desktop.
