Our goal in switching to Armadillo was not bullet proof protection, but to have basic protection that was not a hassle for our users.
In particular, we needed something that handled hardware changes gracefully, and, using Armadillo's API, we even provide a 5 day grace period if the user either doesn't, or can't get their software activated in time. (Typical scenario, user has 30 days to activate our software, but waits until the last day to do so, which is on a Saturday.... the grace period lets him continue working instead of getting all hacked off at us because we aren't answering the phone to give him a code.) We've been using it for two years now and are quite happy with it.
