Thanks Bob, Is there also a way to retrieve domain registration info, like who owns it. Does IANA or equivalent organisation offer this, for example in the form of a SOAP web service? The reason I ask this, is that my spam filter allows blacklisting the originating IP address, but sometimes it blocks an IP address that belongs to a bona fide ISP, where a spam message accidently slipped through. But afterwards, I'm confronted with a list of IP addresses, that gives me no information at all. So I want to create a program that retrieves the ownership data of the IP adresses.
