Email is still more convenient (for users, when the emails are screened :)
I'm trying to think if there is a simple way to filter out the spam.
Will this work: since mailing lists require subscription. We can ask
the subscriber to define a "signature" string, for example, one's own
signature string, with or without decorations, to form a unique
signature of one's emails. Then we can write a filter to sit before
the SMTP server to look for the unique string for all users. If an
email does not contain a signature string of any of the users, it's
a spam email. The assumption is that the spam senders won't be patient
enough to find out how this filter works.
