Two possibilities suggest themselves: If the code contains compiler version directives, the unrecognized Delphi 10 version define may be causing some peculiar code to be included.
If the code relies on features peculiar to 8-bit character strings, it may have problems with the new Unicode string features. If you can provide specific error messages and what the implicated code looks like, I may be able to offer some suggestions. Unfortunately I'm presently unable to afford a copy of D10, or I'd offer to update the component for you.
