Can you dupe the problem on a NT workstation to the NT server? I ask this
becasue the 95 TCP/IP can be a tad flakey at times.

Subject: [DUG]: DB2 Connections (cont'd)

Hi all.

I've altered our DB/2 setup so that it's now a Win95 client accessing an NT
DB/2 server via TCP/IP and I'm still getting the same "reconnection after
disconnection" problem described in the previous email below.

It looks like a BDE issue to me. We're running BDE 5.01.

Has anybody else experienced this? More importantly, does anybody else
have a workaround?

Cheers.

Subject: DB2 Connections

Hi all.

I've just started working with DB2 and every time I
connect/disconnect/reconnect to the database via the BDE I get an
exception.

I can reproduce this in a number of ways:
1. In BDEAdmin or DBExplorer: Open the database. Close it. Try to reopen
it.
2. In the Delphi IDE: Create a database component and aim it at the DB2
alias. Open it. Close it. Try to reopen it.
3. In a Delphi-compiled app: Create a database component and aim it at the
DB2 alias. Open it. Close it. Try to reopen it.

In all cases, exiting the program in question will allow me to once again
get a single connection and shut it down. But reconnection always falls
over.

Any ideas?
               BJ...
