Morning all. I posted a similar msg to this on Off-topic.
I post it here because some are not subscribed to off-topic, and it concerns
all.
Roughly, here it is:
I suggested another mail group (an option to be checked, or unchecked in
your subscription) called database or DB. Because myself and a few others
are not currently involved in DB stuff and need to minimise our incoming
mail. This would
mean the rest of stuff related to Pascal, zip drives, anything techo would
perhaps stay here. Anything DB related eg indexing Paradox SQL and so on
would go DB. Currently a large amount of Delphi stuff we have posted is DB
related, and requires sorting for those who get a large amount of daily
mail, and dont want DB. This change would alleviate that problem.
It is no big deal. It depends on our generous administrator Nic,
having the time to do it, and also if there are enough who feel the
change is to their advantage.
In effect, if the change is implimented, and you subscribe to both DB and
current groups, your incoming Delphi stuff wont change.
Its also been suggested we have a newsgroup. Personally, I prefer KISS (keep
it simple) as this group has ample topic coverage and rather than disperse
the users, and possibly weaken the intelligence of this current group,
either keep it the same, or add one more filter.
If you have the time, pse post your preference to:

That way Nic will get a consensus of whether another group is relevant or
not.
