I found the easiest way to round the problem is to use the TDateTimePicker
which looks good. Unfortunetely Inprise/Microsoft stopped a little short
with this component and it does not allow you to modify the date and time
and is not db aware.
It is possible to address these issues (as we have) with a few days of work.
