AS/400 Windows? What's a Window? Strictly text based. Very reliable but
very old technology. You can install an NT or Novell server inside of the
AS/400 and share resources such as disk & printer etc, Even manage the
servers from the 400. But the OS is a real mans OS, not some Microsoft
toy.
We have about 14 of them I think. Our whole warehouse runs on AS/400
sofware written in RPG. We developed the whole lot in house. Warehouse
pickers and packers use Symbol wireless terminals that tell them where to
go and what to do next. Very cool stuff and we performace almost as good -
if not better - than some fully automated warehouses. Sorry, I'm getting
carried away, but I think it's why we doing as well as we are. Doing the
same thing on PC's would be great but not as easy to control and not nearly
as reliable.

What is the AS/400 platform? Is it a Windows platform? How does Delphi run
on it if it is not a Windows platform?
