Hi all. We have had discussions on fonts, and form sizes under different
screen resolutions, but here is a new one to me, which caught me out. Worthy
of noting down for your future developments if you havent considered this
aspect:
QUOTE:
Hi there: Since not all users (including me) don't run the default
light-gray Windows color scheme, it would be wise to always check your
program's interface using a different color scheme to make sure all elements
blend seamlessly. Under the Windows 9x Display Properties "Appearance tab,"
change the scheme to Brick, Desert, Slate, or Wheat. Then, go over every
part of your program's interface to make sure you don't see any patches of
light gray. All background colors (including icon backgrounds) should take
on the user's 3D Objects color, no matter what scheme the user might use.
This is a common problem with some programming languages, but is easily
corrected if you know what to look for. -- Ted Tatman, ZDNet Reviewer
