No, I don't think ComCtrl32 is the answer. I had this identical problem on site late last week, on a NT4 SP3 machine,  but didn't have time to persue it. Before I return there on wednesday this week, I have downloaded the latest QR stuff just in case the problem lay in QR (Like so may other problems do), but my reaction is that the problem lies in the Video setup on that paricular machine. I'l Let you know how I get on Wednesday night.

I have a quick report that works fine except on a particular machine running Win95 the speedbutton glyphs are missing on the preview screen. The buttons show up as the mouse moves over them and so do the hints. Any ideas ?
