Hi.  If I were you, I would get the freeware GNU C for this sort of work.
This compiler is available on both platforms and should be helpful for your
porting efforts.

My second choice would be to use a Win32 C compiler to compile a console
program.  Stay away from WinAPI and non ANSI C stuff.  In particular, you
will need to define that you want strict compliance to ANSI C.
