HI all. I am looking for a / some components that work with voice modems.
I am not talking TAPI here, but rather a control intercepting the onRing
event and answering the modem in VOICE mode, and then playing a message out
the modem NOT VIA TAPI but straight out the comport to the modem so it can
be heard by the caller.
TAPI is not the best for this, as from what I have seen you need a TAPI
compliant modem, my US Robitcs one is MEANT to be, but they dont garantee
it....which really doens't help.
I found this one component called TMsgVoc, but it is D3, which is ok, but it
didn't really work...although it gave me some tips on HOW to int a modem to
only answer in voice mode, and how to detect DTMF tones.
I have looked at AsyncPro from Turbopower, but it only seems to do the above
via TAPI....which is not much help.
Anyone know of any components, or even any OCX's DLL's etc. that can help me
