The cause is (from observation) programmatic so this is a shortterm solution
which will not solve the problem of a single session generating this error.
We have encountered this fault also... We've never narrowed down the cause
but was able to reproduce with poorly written code... A more optimal method
of implementing the desired functionality did not preduce the problem and
investigation was abandoned... It involved rapidly repetitious firing of
select
queries under delphi 1 and win95 - selects were on a five column integer
key table (with the first column being autoinc).
