Aaron in this case it is just one user; not a group.
The software we deal with is a video capture system. Max resolution is
640x480 which is a heck of a lot of resource after only a few pics. They can
reduce the resolution, and this increases the number of images Timagelist
can accept, but it is not a good compromise.

You shouldn't have any problems with these small images. However I say that
tongue-in-cheek, as the problem I describe is not consistent at all. I have
set a fixed maximum of 15 images in my prog which seems to work ok for
almost all users.
What I am up against is my app works with most users and the client base is
not huge so I have to be careful how much time I put into it.
However, when time becomes a bit more available I will make a Timagelist
component with similar functionality, but using TFastbmp which I described
earlier on. With this item, I can have as larger array of images as I like.
In fact in my app, I use both and it is only because Timagelist has some
nice calls which TFastBMP doesnt, that I use the suspect TImagelist.
Hope the above comments are of some use to you. Anyway, if you are up
against a rock and a hard face, suggest you check out the TFastBMP on Gordon
Fody's page - maybe you can use it the same way as an array of TfastBMP:
