Actually we could go further - how about a complete set of controls that support a
IDataSource interface, so we are not bound to TDatasets etc.
eg Full OO Databases/CORBA etc.

We use Infopowers. Unfortunately, we have rewritten or over-written
so much of the vcl and 3rd party libs already, we cant do anymore.
We live with the problems for now. What we did a while ago was to
not use the standard components at all, but rather use inherited ones.
That way we can replace them in one place with better versions when
we need to.
