I don't think so - went through this as far back as D2 and ended up buying a
full install package from a supplier - the issue was the same then, the I/S
express only recognised the 32 bit BDE
However Borland ships the 16 bit BDE with its own installer, if you can run
that somehow from within your I/S install (does it give this option?) and
use a TDatabase instead of an alias, you could do this. But I don't see an
option in ISX for this.
