Carl,

Thanks for your help, sadly no luck...

        >> The BDE has an Exception - Unable to Initialise the BDE Engine.
The BDE
        >> Admin Utility has the same Exception.

        > Did you check out the BDE registry settings?
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\BLW32 and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Borland\Database Engine)

I have looked at this - sadly it reports the correct place
"C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\DBE"

        >> The BDE is not loaded elsewhere.

        > The only time we had this problem, we discovered an old BDE
version lying around. Had to delete it and change registry settings too.

I have searched the computer for any BDE Files - I can't find any
old ones lying around.

        >> In D1 one could install the BDE manually, I know this would be
slow and
        >> cumbersome, can this be done for D3 - If so how ???

        > I think you can change the files isdepend.ini and swdepend.ini,
both in <Installshield>\Objs\Delphi4\Eng, if you need to make changes to the
install of the BDE.

What I was after was a list of files (the BDE) that can be directly
copied into the BDE Directory - crude but effective.

Any and all help much appreciated.

Regards
Paul
