I was interested in this too, so went looking for more information (like
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/techart/perfmon.htm, for example).

That's fine. We can all do searches on the web (dogpile.com), but the *real*
reason I'm posting to the list is because I finally found a search page at
microsoft.com that returned useful programming information:

http://search.microsoft.com/us/dev/ gives goodly technical results, and
doesn't include bug lists or press releases.
