Unfortunately... :(
TMainMenu does not appear to have a parent property, and is not a TWinContol
Descendant (which a coolbar requires). I have tried looking through the VCL
Menu Source, but can't work it out.
Any other ideas?

Yes, as that is what is done in the D4 IDE.
Probably have to parent a main menu onto the coolbar at run time - have not
tried it.
