A requirement has arisen for twenty professional permanent developers to
start cutting code before the end of the year. This is an exciting
opportunity to grow and develop with a rapidly expanding dynamic company.
The suitablely skilled people will be flexible, have a great attitude, work
well as part of a team (there will be multiple teams), and be 'sleeves
rolled up and get on with it' types. You will be a clear communicator with
very good written and oral as well as listening skills. It is envisaged
you will have from one to two years experience (however talented individuals
with less experience will also be considered) using Delphi (4). Your
experience with Database's will include Paradox, Sybase, SQL Anywhere or
other SQL databases. Experience creating own components would be an
advantage however third party components are also used extensively.
Familiarity with ODBC, TAPI, OLAY interfaces, and good to have - however not
essential, would be internet technologies including exposure to retrieving
from proxy and exchange servers. Formal OO training (or extensive
experience) will be a distinct advantage. Within this group of people we
require a mix of focus from user interface to the 'under the bonnet'
variety. Overall we need people that can work to set standards and who want
to work in a fun, comfortable and stimulating environment.
Market rates and above will be paid to the right individuals. A very
exciting but closely guarded incentive scheme may be available to people who
posses 'the right stuff', however this aspect will only be discussed at the
end of the selection process. The opportunity for training, in-house
mentoring and personal growth and development will be available to those who
demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to the role. Transfer costs
from outside of Auckland may be negotiated for the right individuals so
applications from other main centres are encouraged.
