well its not ZIP compression or anything..."ZIPPING" in the terms of
whipping through...or LOOPING through....which is just a normal FOR loop

What I meant to say was that re sorting - use a Tlist sort method it may not
be the quickest to sort but then having control over
when you sort the list will improve the performance

what method are you using for "zipping through the file"
