My personal preference would be to add ORACLE onto this list above MSSQL

MySQL I've been told doesn't implement as much of the nest query facilities as some
of these others...

I've trialled ORACLE through ADO without incident and I believe there is supposed to
be linux support (avialable or coming?) for ORACLE.

ORACLE 8 has a reasonable set of administration tools to bring it up with MSSQL and
has no problems with limited resources or huge databases - scalability is endless...

I haven't used but have at least previewed nested table and custom datatype support for
ORACLE8 in the BDE and this looks quite nice also...

Does anyone know if the ORACLE8i implementation includes implementing stored
procedures in Java as part of its facilities?
