Client: orb_br.dll, orbpas50.dll I think. Not much more than that.
middle tier: visi for C++ 3.3, osagent running, oad most likely running,
IR running if you don't use idl2pas
(osagent = thing that allows you to find objects easily
oad = object activation deamon
ir = interface reposity, needed if you dont use IDL2PAS)

C++Builder 4 is NICE for it. If you wanna stick with Delphi, Delphi 5
with the Visi for Delphi new-release thing is a good place to start.
Java is good for it (VERY good for it), but SWING sucks buckets, so its
crap on the client
mid tier: my preference is Java, 'cos I LOVE it, but C++ and Delphi also
work more than OK. Enterprise versions are pretty much needed for all of
the above, too.
there is an article in the latest Delphi Informant about it (I think?),
and there is an article on www.esperanto.org.nz that covers it.
