We are undergoing a large amount of frustration with trying to get this
combination working.
With BDE, the application development is straight forward - just place a
TDatabase, Session, and away you go. At the Midas client, ApplyUpdates and
Refresh on the TClientDataset work exactly as you would expect.
To state some symptoms of the problem...
Using IBX and replacing the various components at the server side with
TIBDatabase, TIBQuery, TIBTransaction, we can not get client side updates
and refreshes to work without calling server side hacks from the client.
There are manyn other problems as well.
We are further frustrated by the total lack of IBX documentation and it also
appears that no one has done a midas App using IBX???
If there is anyone out there who can help with a little advice, or anyone
who has got this combination to work, then we would appreciate hearing from
you.
