Hi Guys & Gals

I've been given a little project which involves calling a ActiveX DLL from
Delphi 5.
The suspect thing is that the ActiveX DLL is written in, wait for it, Visual
Basic 5.

Ok, once you have wiped the vomit off your screens please continue
reading...

The question I have is does anyone know of any issues involved with such a
venture?
Has anyone ever done such a thing?

At the moment when I try to import the type library (from "Import Type
Library" under the Project menu) the Classes in the DLL appear correctly in
the "Class Names" list box, however I get this error when I click the
"Create Unit" button...

"An error while referencing a user defined type. This may be caused by a
missing or unregistered type library"

Now there could be two reasons for this,
1) The error message could be true and I simply need to get the missing
libraries off my client. I'm currently asking them if there is anything else
they may have forgotten to give me. (And yes I have registered the DLL)

2) Or something is screwy with VB ActiveX DLLs. There are rumours on the net
of VB DLL's not being true DLL's, and only callable from VB itself. But who
knows? I wouldn't be surprised.

Does anyone have any wise advice?

Thanks In Advance.
