I was interested enough to fire up a sample app & just test that
'BitBtn1.Caption := 'Line1'#$0D#$0A'Line2' actually worked.  

It works fine under D4 but failed under Delphi 1.  That suprised me - I had
assumed that it would have worked in any version of Delphi.  It would be
interesting & look at the source to see what has changed with the TBitBtn
between D3 & D4.

Of course, it suggests one answer - use D4 or D5, but that may be a bit
extreme just to get two line buttons....
