I have experienced a similar error, at location 0x77f1d493 (NT Server
machine),
I was converting a COM DLL project and had copied all the files typelibs etc
and then did some changes to the typelib but forgot to create new GUID'd for
the interfaces and was therefore still using the original registered
interfaces. I think I had also forgot to change my uses clause to point to
the new _tlb.pas file.The error I would get from the IDE apart from the
error you describe was "dispatch interface missing".

I have just installed and recompiled some projects with the 5.01 patches.
Now I have been getting the following exception
"The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the
application at location 0x77f1d479"
I know the address 0x77f1f479 is in the Kernal32.dll
This is on NT4.0 SP6, D5.01 C/s
Any ideas what this is (even better - it's cause)?
