There is a bunch of stock images for GNOME at

http://tigert.gimp.org/gnome/gnome-stock/

They have cut, copy, paste, open, etc - all the standard ones and then some.

There are free for use in GPL'ed apps (ie, free), tho the author says
contact him for commertial apps (or if you want custom ones doing). The
images are now part of the standard GNOME-STOCK package.

Could be worth looking into.
