You're looking to have your book published... You must send it to 20 publishers
to see if one will accept it. Each Publisher may take up to a month to evaluate
your manuscript (on average only 2 weeks).

Single-tasking
you can only afford 1 copy of your manuscript which to send to each publisher
one at a time.
Best case: 2 weeks
Average Case: 5 months
Worst case: 20 months

Multi-tasking
You get 20 copies of the manuscript and send them out to the publishers all at
once.  Getting the 20 copies was expensive but in a single months time you'll
have your publisher.  This isn't quite true as it took you a week to get the copies
of the manuscript done and lick all those stamps.
Best Case: 3 weeks
Average Case: 3 weeks
Worst Case: 1 month and 1 week
