Interesting side note, Phil: as far as I can remember (which shows how much
an MCP means) Microsoft recommends switching off indexes when you do a bulk
insert, and switching them on again after. You can do the same with
interbase, but a backup and restore is a) quicker and b) forces garbage
collection and other usefull things at the same time.
